Week 5: Ripples

Serena Ripple

RIPPLES

Whether she’s dancing, parenting, volunteering, or advising a start-up, she’s making’ waves.

Sending drops of positive energy to make the world better

Enlisting support for change

Raising kids that will make a difference

Encouraging innovation and good ideas

Never settling for “good enough”

Always an inspiration and a treasure.

I’m so grateful she’s my friend.

Week 4: WIP

On or about Valentine’s Day …
They stole my thunder. But really it’s not about my thunder. It’s about yours.

It’s true: you don’t complete me. How could you? I’ll never be complete, and I’m the only one who can work toward finishing me. But you make me be a better me. For a couple reasons. I want you to see me. I want you to appreciate me. I want you to be proud of me, as a wife, as a mother, as a human. Your critical eye makes me think about what I’m doing and what I’m saying.

Except when I’m tired, then I might forget.
Still a work in progress …

Week 3: Yeah. Like that.

Laugh dance share

#52weeksofgratitude #honestlygrateful

Yeah. Like that.

Some friendships are just like that, you know.

Like when you visit the Christmas Ship and dance the night away to the Boss

… in the pouring rain.

Or

Like when you need a shoulder to cry on

…. just because.

Or

Like when you start talking and hours later tune back into the world

… where was I?

Or

Like when you laugh so hard your sides ache for days

… no judgment.

Yeah. Like that.

Week 2: Le Chat Coco

Chat Coco

My post is an original line drawing entitled Le Chat Coco. This week, I wanted to try my had at a simple line drawing. Et voilà! Here she is. I chose my subject because I wanted something simple, but recognizable, and Mademoiselle Coco is the new, endearing companion of this week’s gratitude letter recipient. So this drawing represents a chain of gratitude: It is my gesture of gratitude to my friend, who is grateful to have Coco’s company, who is grateful to have a new home. So much to appreciate!
